Installation Tip: Ventilation Requirements
November 14, 2017

Ventilate, Ventilate, Ventilate

INSTALLATION TIP

Proper ventilation is crucial to the life span of an LED display.

Allow a minimum of a 1.5" gap per face behind a sign for proper airflow (Figure below).

However, it is recommended to have a 2” gap for precautionary measures. The Video Display ventilation system is convection.  Fresh air is drawn into the Video Display thru the bottom back and then hot air is drawn out of the Video Display thru the top back.

DO NOT obstruct the airflow of the backs of the cabinets. Otherwise, the sign will overheat and not perform to highest quality. The power supplies are designed to shut down if they get too hot in order to protect the components in the Video Display.
